Layla thinks there’s a chance for a LayCool return to the WWE.
The former WWE Women’s Champion hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since 2015. She retired from wrestling, but many fans still remember her run as LayCool with Michelle McCool.
The duo were a top heel team and co-champions during their two-year run together. Layla defeated Michelle McCool to send her away from the WWE and into retirement, but she can see the pair getting back together in the future.
Layla recently appeared on the No Name Wrestling Podcast where she discussed a potential return to the WWE. She revealed that there is a chance she will come back before she gets too old and would love to reunite with Michelle McCool as LayCool. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)
“Yeah, now there is,” Layla said. “Before, absolutely 100% no, I was not open to anything, I wanted a break, I wanted to get away. But now? Absolutely. Before I get too old and I can’t come back and do anything, yeah, one more time. I would honestly come back to do a LayCool reunion. If that is possible and that is something that could happen, why not? It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. We had a lot of fans when we were together. I would love to reunite with my best friend just one more time.”
