Eric Bischoff Doesn’t Think The Bloodline Will Ever Have The Impact That The nWo Did

Eric Bischoff knows The Bloodline is a great storyline success, but its impact on the pro wrestling business can’t compare to the nWo.

Currently in WWE, the longest-running storyline involves The Bloodline. The story is one of the most profitable storylines for WWE. While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Eric Bischoff mentioned that storyline-wise, the Bloodline is the greatest storyline in WWE. But when it comes to creating the biggest impact in professional wrestling, nWo was the best and the Bloodline storyline can’t come even close to it.

“Well, let me first talk about the distinction. I think no storyline, no faction in my opinion, will have the impact that the nWo storyline had. Just… And it has a lot to do with timing, the state of the business at that time, the evolution of the business, just timing. The timing was perfect for the nWo. And it is still one of the top-selling merchandise items in the WWE catalog. So, there’s that. I think the quality of the Bloodline storyline, however, just in terms of its discipline, the arc that it has created, the benefits that have resulted from it, in terms of talent. I mean we kind of have already forgotten about it a little bit.

“But look at Sami Zayn. Look what that story did for Sami. Look what it’s done for so many people that it’s elevated from literally out of nowhere or kind of mid-roster status into Superstars. The amount of money that’s been generated from that storyline. I just don’t think you can look at it as a piece of business and think of anything that’s even close in terms of the Bloodline storyline from a storyline point of view. From an impact point of view, I don’t think Bloodline will ever come close to the nWo,” Eric Bischoff said.

Do you agree with Bischoff?
