Kurt Angle Knows Who John Cena Should Wrestle In His Final Match

Earlier this year, 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena announced that 2025 will be his final year as an active professional wrestler. As Cena put it, ‘The Last Time is Now.’ WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently shared who he thinks should be Cena’s final opponent.

While speaking to MuscleMan Malcolm on his Muscle Memory series, Kurt Angle shared that he would love to see the Original Tribal Chief Roman Reigns be Cena’s final opponent.

The WWE Hall of Famer also shared that because there’s history between the two stars, it would make for a great storyline. Angle also felt that Cena deserves to have one more WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.

“Oh gosh! That’s tough. John Cena, probably Roman Reigns. Yeah. I think… Knowing that where Roman was when he started and I remember a promo where John put him in his place, I think they’d have a good storyline coming up if they decide to have that last match of Cena, versus Roman. I think for John Cena’s credit it should be for the World Title. I mean, this kid has won 16 World Heavyweight Titles in WWE. No one’s ever done that before. Ric Flair won 16, but he did it with NWA, WCW, and WWE. But John Cena has won 16 titles in the WWE. No one’s ever done that. So, I think he deserves a title shot,” Kurt Angle said.
