Big E offered to return to WWE RAW to help The New Day, but Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned on him instead.
On the December 2 episode of WWE RAW, The New Day celebrated their tenth anniversary. Plenty of memorabilia from the group’s past filled the ring and the stage. Xavier Woods commented on how special the occasion was, and he thanked the fans. Kofi Kingston said that it had been a crazy ride, and he had never dreamt that they would have made it to this point. He also thanked the fans.
The fans chanted for Big E, and Woods said they missed him too. Woods said that what they were about to say was not the fans’ fault. Kingston stated that they had talked, and he was about to announce something when Big E came out, making his first appearance on WWE television in over three years. Big E thanked the fans and said he wished that he was there under different circumstances.
Big E brought up Woods and Kingston arguing and said that troubled him. He said that when they started this, they were all each other had. Big E emphasized how Kingston and Woods were there for him when he broke his neck. He said that they built meant something to a lot of people, and it meant a lot to him.
Big E said that until he was cleared to return to the ring, he was going to remind them who they were. He said that he would be there every single week to lift them up, as he would be their manager.
Kofi Kingston And Xavier Woods Lash Out At Big E
Woods questioned Big E for coming back now, after he watched them fight for months. Woods said that Big E left them, and Big E said that he broke his neck.
Kingston agreed, saying that Big E had left them. He noted that Big E may have broken his neck, but plenty of others had come back from the injury. Kingston said that Big E could have come back a long time ago. Woods noted that he tore his Achilles Tendon, and he had to get surgery. Kingston said that if Big E cared, he would have been back a long time ago, but instead, he chose his new life over them.
Kofi Kingston And Xavier Woods Tell Big E To Leave
Woods said that Big E had become a burden, as fans always said they missed him, but it was clear that Big E did not miss him or Woods.
Kingston said that Big E chose himself over the two of them. Woods said that Big E would never be medically cleared, so he should go back to his desk where he belonged. He told Big E to leave. Big E argued with them and refused to go, but Kingston and Woods stood their ground. Big E reluctantly left, and Kingston and Woods remained in the ring. They talked to each other off-mic, and they said it was just them now. The duo clasped hands, seemingly reconfirming their bond in the process.
