Ethan Page discusses working with CM Punk and says he could beat him in a Bloodsport match.
Page crossed paths with Punk leading into NXT’s premiere on the CW Network. Punk was the special referee for the NXT Championship match between Page and Trick Williams, in which Williams emerged victorious.
In an interview with Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp, Ethan Page discussed working with CM Punk. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)
“It was interesting in the sense that we’ve crossed paths multiple places now,” Page said. So I got to see how he operates across the board. That was interesting. You’re talking about his fashion. I’ll say the ugliest he’s ever looked is in a referee shirt. Dumbest he’s ever looked is raising Trick Williams’ hand in a referee shirt. Sorry. I don’t know.
“You talking about arguably the biggest or one of the biggest stars in the WWE, maybe of like my generation of wrestlers. It was great to be able to ring in this new era of NXT on our new home channel, the CW Network. It was a very big platform and moment and match. I’m grateful in a sense that I got to be in, I guess, CM Punk’s stratosphere or whatever, to share the spotlight. That was cool. The things that followed up after, not too cool. Not too cool at all.”
Ethan Page On Potential Bloodsport Match
Page was then asked to comment on who would win a Bloodsport match between Karate Man and CM Punk.
“Oh me, any version of me. I could wear this freaking outfit,” Page said. “You’re talking to a man that trained martial arts from the age of four years old, not 40 years old. Four.”

Ethan Page Wants To Extinguish Je’Von Evans’ Flame Too
Page also targeted Je’Von Evans in an interview with WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard.
“I personally can’t wait to get my hands on Je’Von Evans. I’m waiting for that flame to just run out. It would be nice. But it seems like the closer this guy gets to making it happen — and he keeps losing, but these idiots in the crowd, they just love him more and more! Dude, I don’t get it. You know what it reminds me of? I’m Canadian, it’s like in Toronto, these morons love the Maple Leafs. They’re never going to win. They are never going to win, that’s Je’Von Evans! He’s never going to win. He’s never going to win! I’ll make sure that he doesn’t,” Page stated.
