Erick Rowan recently commented on his relationship with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.
Rowan previously had a memorable WWE run as a member of The Wyatt Family and one-half of The Bludgeon Brothers. He was released in 2020 but he returned to the company earlier in 2024. Rowan re-debuted as a member of The Wyatt Sicks in June.
While speaking to Steve Fall of Ten Count Media, Erick Rowan opened up about his relationship with Triple H. Rowan mentioned that he has always been a business guy and his relationship has always been a business guy and he was always professional.
“So, to me, I’ve always been a business guy,” Rowan said. I go to work and I’m professional. Nice to everybody, treat everybody with respect. It’s work. You do the best of your ability every day. You improve on what you have to do. And when you talk about relationships it’s like, yeah. It was cordial. It was business. And that’s all it was.
“People act like we were best buds. It’s like… I’m not like that. I have a… It’s like wrestling, people say, ‘Oh, it’s the greatest job ever.’ No. It’s still a 9 to 5. You are still going to work. You get your list of what you are going to do. It’s a job. And you perform your job to the best of your abilities regardless of…”
Erick Rowan Never Got The Infamous Finger-Point Photo With Triple H
Rowan went on to note that he always had a good relationship with Triple H. However, he pointed out that he never got the famous “finger-point” picture Triple H is known for taking with talent.
“People always say, ‘Oh it’s bad creative, bad writing.’ It’s your job,” Rowan said. “Do your job, go home. Just do it to the best of your ability. And if you have… If things are better now and you’re able to have a little bit more creative input, that’s even better. I’m happy as hell for those people. Because then they are able to get across these things and maybe put on a way better show.
“So, to me it’s like, yeah me and Hunter always had a good relationship. Never screamed at each other, always cordial. Did jobs that we were supposed to do together. And yeah man. But I never did get the pointy picture like where he points at the guy. Me and John when we won the belts in NXT when he was running it. Yeah, we didn’t get no finger point,” Eric Rowan said.
