One of the veterans in the wrestling business is former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Hornswoggle. He recently opened up about his hate for birds.
While speaking on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under Podcast, Hornswoggle shared the story about how during an episode of WWE Superstars, while he was under the ring, a security guard threw in a chicken, and the former Cruiserweight Champion was scared for his life.
“Birds are unpredictable. They’re f*cking dangerous, they got talons. They f*cking suck. Chickens are awful. They carry so many diseases. They’re just horrible animals. Horrible animals.
“I was f*cking with one of the security guards all tour. All tour, all tour, all tour, all tour. As I would. He got fed up with it. Finally, we’re in… I don’t know there was f*cking chickens there. I still don’t know. But there was chickens outside the arena. Like just f*cking roaming. I’m under the ring.
“And in the ring above me is Drew McIntyre and Chris Masters. I’m changing because my match isn’t probably till like three or four more. So, I’m changing. And I remember, I’m shirtless. I have my gear pants on. But I’m like half-naked. And suddenly I see like the f*cking ring skirt move up. And I’m, ‘What the f*ck? That’s weird. Maybe someone threw something under.’ Oh they did. And it was a live chicken.
Hornswoggle almost ran out from under the ring as he didn’t want to get attacked by the chicken
“I don’t like birds. He was just saying how loud it was above me and now you’re putting a live animal underneath the ring. So, now I know… Now, this thing is going crazy. There’s a Kendo Stick right here. I just grabbed the Kendo Stick and I say to them, cuz, now I see like camera flashes. They’re videoing and taking photos of me under the ring with said chicken being so scared.
“And I said him, I said, ‘Guys, I’m not supposed to come up but I’m going to. I don’t care about the show.’ I said, ‘I don’t care about the show. I’m not getting attacked by this chicken. It’s not happening. I’m not… I value my life too much.’ And I’m swinging at this rooster. It would go out and they kick it back under the ring. Now, they’re pissing it off more.
“Drew McIntyre gets on the mic in the middle of the match. I think there’s a chicken under the ring. Sure sh*t. It gets kicked out again. And pushed back under. It seemed like 30 minutes and I was running from this chicken. It was probably a minute. I was so scared, I hate birds. I hate them. They just, it’s not fun. Is that fun? Your cucumber. You can stomp on a cucumber instead. A chicken can tail on me. A cucumber ain’t tailing you. You ever seen a cucumber? No you don’t. Cock fighting. Cucumbers ain’t cock fighting,” Hornswoggle said.
