Sami Zayn: The Bloodline Story Will Never Really Be Over, It’s Family

Sami Zayn doesn’t see the Bloodline saga ever ending because they are all family.

The Canadian’s involvement with the Samoan Bloodline has been ongoing since early 2022. Sami Zayn joined the group in April of that year and slowly ingratiated himself into the faction. Despite not being Samoan, he became a highlight of the group, doing his best to make them corpse regularly.

However, he turned on the group at the 2023 Royal Rumble, stopping Roman Reigns from decimating his long-time friend and rival, Kevin Owens. This led to Owens and Zayn winning the WWE Tag Team Championships from The Usos at WrestleMania 39.

Despite their falling out, Sami Zayn had the Bloodline’s back at Survivor Series. He helped the group defeat Solo Sikoa’s version of the group in War Games, along with CM Punk.

In the Survivor Series: War Games post-show press conference, Sami Zayn was asked about his future with The Bloodline. The former NXT Champion admitted he doesn’t think their story will ever be over because they are now family.

Sami Zayn Thinks The Bloodline Will Never Be Over

“I think the Bloodline story, because of the length of time it’s gone on and the level of fan investment over the last few years, feels like the closest thing I can compare it to is my story with Kevin Owens. It’s the kind of story that’s always going to be there.”

“So, the previous question was asked, and Jey obviously has been doing tremendous things on his own. Does he want to go back into a team? Does he want to do something else? What’s the future for all the Bloodline members? I don’t know, right? I don’t know.”

“But I think even if we all drift in different directions, it’s become this thing where you can always float back to the ‘mother ship,’ you know? Much like me and Kevin have been telling a story for over 20 years, and somehow we always find each other in our crosshairs. We’re very diligent about how we tell this story, just as I think the Bloodline is, to make sure it keeps piquing the fans’ interest.”

“So, I don’t have a definitive answer for you. I don’t know. But it’s definitely not over. I don’t know if this is like, ‘We’re back and running it just like we did two years ago,’ but it’s never really going to be over—because it’s family. You know what I’m saying?”
