JBL made a surprise appearance at TNA Turning Point.
In the main event of TNA Turning Point, Nic Nemeth defended the TNA World Championship against Eddie Edwards. The odds were stacked against Nemeth, as Alisha Edwards interfered in the match and Brian Myers tried to get involved as well. However, JBL came out and dropped Myers with a Clothesline From Hell. The veteran then walked to the back, and Nemeth proceeded to hit Eddie with the Danger Zone for the win.
JBL has helped Nemeth multiple times in recent months. He appeared at TNA Bound For Glory and stopped Frankie Kazarian and stopped him from cashing in his Call Your Shot opportunity on Nemeth. He also hit Joe Hendry with a clothesline, and Nemeth pinned him for the win.
JBL also helped Nemeth beat Moose to retain his title at TNA Victory Road.
JBL On His Recent Appearances
In addition to his appearances in TNA, JBL has also popped up in MLW, AAA, GCW, and other promotions. Speaking on Something To Wrestle, he discussed his current run and said there was an endgame. (H/T to Fightful for the transcription)
“All this stuff that I’m doing on the independents, the stuff that I’m doing on social media, I’ve got some stuff coming up that I think is pretty cool. We’re gonna have a lot more things. There is an endgame to this. But it all came from Bruce. Bruce gave me this game plan a while back. He doesn’t know what I’m doing now, he doesn’t ask.”
“But a lot of it came directly from Bruce. I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. I love this business so much, and I have missed being in the business. It’s so fun just to be around the guys, and it’s so fun just to be arenas, be around wrestling rings, be around fans. I love this business, and I’m not ready to go off into the sunset yet. So [I’m] having a lot of fun, but a lot of this came from Bruce.”
