Matt Riddle has arrived in TNA, as he made his debut at TNA Turning Point.
At TNA Turning Point on November 29, Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz were scheduled to team up with KUSHIDA to face The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) and Ace Austin. Due to travel complications, Miguel was unable to make the show. As a result, Wentz and KUSHIDA needed a replacement partner.
Ahead of the match, Wentz said that he went to the treehouse, and he realized that there was only one person who came to mind. He then said “The Bro” was in the house. Matt Riddle made his entrance as he was revealed as their mystery partner.
The Hardys and KUSHIDA ultimately scored the win. Jeff pinned KUSHIDA with a Swanton Bomb.
WWE previously released Riddle in September 2023. Riddle is a former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion, and he has held the WWE United States Championship as well. Since his release, he has had a brief run in NJPW, where he won the NJPW World TV Championship. He has also been featured in MLW in recent months. Riddle is set to challenge for the world title at MLW Kings of Colosseum in January. Additionally, he currently holds the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
There is currently no word on whether Riddle’s appearance was a one-off, or if he will be working with TNA going forward. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
