Trey Miguel won’t be competing at TNA Turning Point.
TNA made the announcement on Friday morning, just hours before the Turning Point event is set to take place. Miguel can’t make the show due to travel issues. However, TNA will be announcing a replacement for his match. Miguel was scheduled to compete in a six-man tag match with Zach Wentz and KUSHIDA against The Hardys and Ace Austin.
Gia Miller made the announcement on social media, which was interrupted by Miguel’s Rascalz tag team partner, Zach Wentz. He said the show must go on, and they’ll find a suitable partner for the match. Wentz joked that there’s plenty of wrestlers at WrestleCade, joking that Papa Shango could possibly fill in. No matter what, the six-man match will take place later tonight.
TNA Turning Point airs Friday night from Winston-Salem, North Carolina as part of the three-day 2024 WrestleCade festival.
The Rascalz want to be in the limelight again
Earlier this year, Zach Wentz recently spoke with PWMania.com about his return to TNA. He said The Rascalz were a great tag team, and he wants to put their names back in the conversation.
“I just want to have the Rascalz name in the limelight again, man. That’s the Rascalz, it’s our baby and it’s near and dear to my heart and, you know, know for a long time the Rascalz were synonymous with Tag Team greatness and we want to get back to tag team greatness,” Wentz explained. “Also, Trey Miguel is my best friend, my absolute best friend, my brother. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t talk to him in some aspect, facetime, texting or whatever. So I just want to be back with my friend. Do good stuff with my friend.”
