Adam Copeland Comments On His Recovery, Says He Feels Ready To Get Back At It

Adam Copeland is ready to get back at it.

Copeland has not wrestled since AEW Double or Nothing in May. There, he retained the TNT Championship against Malakai Black, but he suffered a fractured tibia during the match. Due to the injury, he had to vacate the title.

Speaking on The Leafs Nation, Adam Copeland was asked to comment on how he was feeling and when fans could expect to see him return.

“My brain forgets I’m 51, but my body quickly reminded me. Yeah, you just jumped from 21 feet, asshole. That’s technically three stories. You’re 51, quit it. But I feel good, I’m ready to get back at it and to get busy again.

The video can be seen here:

PWInsider recently reported that Copeland was cleared for physicality, but he was not expected to be back in AEW full-time until he completes filming for the second season of Percy Jackson and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.

Tony Khan On Adam Copeland

During the AEW Full Gear post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about Copeland’s looming return. He made it clear that he was looking forward to having him back.

“We’ve been missing him very, very much. He was doing so great this year for us as the TNT Champion. We really missed the ‘Rated-R Superstar’ so much, and I can’t wait to hopefully get him back at some point in the near future.”

“It was really a devastating thing, but we’re very blessed to have such a great roster in AEW because everybody really stepped up. When you lose somebody so valuable to the team like Adam Copeland, it’s always going to hurt.”

“As soon as we can get him back, it’s going to make a huge positive difference to have Adam back on this team. We really missed the ‘Rated-R Superstar,’ and it was one of those really hard things that happened at the MGM Grand at Double or Nothing when we temporarily lost Adam from the roster. Whenever he gets back, we’re going to be so excited.”
