The WWE Speed Women’s Number One Contender’s Tournament is underway, and the first competitor has advanced.
Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green on the November 27 episode of WWE Speed. In doing so, she punched her ticket to the next round of the Number One Contender’s Tournament. The rest of the bracket will see Natalya clash with B-Fab, Alba Fyre battle Katana Chance, and Ivy Nile meet Michin. WWE Speed Women’s Champion Candice LeRae awaits the winner.
Vega commented on her win by noting that everything happened so fast, and she gave Green credit for a tough match. She then stated that gold was in her future, and she was on that path.
Green may have come up short in this tournament, but she is still contending for gold. On the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, she advanced to the next round of the WWE Women’s United States Championship Tournament.
