Roman Reigns Visualizes What The Bloodline Story Could Be In Three Years

Roman Reigns says he can see the Bloodline story going for a few more years.

Speaking on SI Media with Jimmy Traina, Roman Reigns was asked whether he was able to appreciate what he and Cody Rhodes put on for the fans at WWE WrestleMania 40.

“I think that’s the easy part is appreciating because we’re able to just chapter it off,” Reigns said. “I think any time you do good work, it’s important to appreciate the hard work that you put in. This is a subjective matter, so it does take the opinions of people to kind of buff this feeling, but it was received very well, and I guess the objective part is the business behind it.

“So I think yes, it was easy to be able to celebrate that, enjoy it, even to this day, to be able to look at it fondly and think, ‘Yeah, man, that was awesome.’ But the burden is, how do we do it again? Or how do we complement it, how do you make the sequel better, or the trilogy? How do you continue to do it? Because I’m not ready to stop at this point.”

Roman Reigns On The Future

Reigns continued by noting that people laughed at Paul Heyman’s “bottom of the third inning” line, but they’re not stretching the story anymore. He said that he visualizes what the Bloodline story could be in the next few years. Reigns also highlighted how WWE’s leadership was an important part of the success.

“People laughed at us a while back when it may have been me or Paul, I’m not sure who said it, but the whole baseball innings thing, there was maybe a year or so ago where it was like, we’re stretching it,” Roman Reigns said. “But we’re not at this point. I see, it’s a whole new vision. I was driving and just kind of visualizing what could be in the next two years, what could be in the next three years, blocking these things off just a year chunk at a time.

“Honestly, that wouldn’t be possible if we weren’t where we are now, the creative freedom, the collaboration that we have, our leadership being Triple H, Nick Khan, the way he runs it from the business side, but also having that trust in not only Triple H but the rest of us because it just trickles down. To be able to have that trust in us to be able to perform and go out there and do it like we do it, yeah, I think it’s important to be able to appreciate what you’ve done because what’s the point of doing it if you don’t? Especially if it was good.”
