AJ Francis thinks he’s the best heel in professional wrestling today.
Since he debuted in TNA at the beginning of the year, AJ Francis has been one of the biggest surprise packages in the company. He failed to impress during two stints in the WWE but has made himself a top heel since moving to TNA.
His feud with Joe Hendry helped put both men on the map, mainly thanks to Hendry’s hilarious songs about him. AJ Francis also won the TNA Digital Media Championship this year but wants a shot at the world title as a reward for his excellent work.
AJ Francis spoke with Dean ‘Mojo’ Muhtadi on TMZ Sports and was asked where he ranked alongside other heels in the business. He said he was the top heel in wrestling and deserved to have a world title shot.
“At the top, I’m the best heel in TNA. Honestly, I’m the best heel in the wrestling business, and if you don’t believe me, debate your barber—don’t debate me. I know for a fact that there’s not a bigger heel in this business that gets a bigger reaction as a heel than me. Nobody even wants to be a heel anymore.
Look at the year I’ve had in TNA: I made Joe Hendry a star, I feuded with the Hardys, and I stole the show with PCO at Slammiversary. It’s time for me to get a world title shot. I deserve to be in the world title picture in TNA, and anyone paying attention already knows that.”

“It better be coming soon. You know, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve done in TNA, but I’ve also been paying attention to the landscape of TNA. I’ve been paying attention to who garners the biggest reactions—not just in the arena, but online.
I’ve proven time and time again that I’m going to put a banger out there, whether it’s with PCO, The Hardy Boys, or ABC. And by the way, we love Chris Bey—shoutout to Chris Bey! It doesn’t matter who I’m facing; I’m going to deliver.
I’m one of the best big men in the world—actually, I think I am the best big man in the world. If anyone wants to fight me on it, you know where my shows are gonna be. I think a title shot is coming very soon, and it better be, because I’ve earned it.”
