The WWE RAW women’s division is getting their own midcard title.
According to fans in attendance, Adam Pearce revealed the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship ahead of the November 25 episode of WWE RAW. Pearce noted that the women of WWE RAW proved that they were the true workhorses in WWE every week. He then unveiled the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Pearce then said that the title would be earned with a tournament starting next week. Further details are not available at this time.
WWE then shared a picture of the title after playing a clip of Pearce’s announcement on WWE RAW.
Pearce’s announcement came just weeks after WWE introduced the Women’s United States Championship on the November 8 episode of WWE SmackDown. The tournament to crown the inaugural champion is underway. The finals will be held at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
