Guntaaah is here
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is in the ring with Jackie. Jackie asks Gunther about last week. Footage of Gunther’s failed sneak attack on Damian Priest is shown. Jackie notes that Damian Priest said since Gunther lost to Cody Rhodes, he hasn’t been the same. Before Gunther can give his thoughts, Damian Priest interrupts. Priest tells Gunther not to let him interrupt; Priest wants to hear all about what Gunther is going to do at Survivor Series. Gunther doesn’t speak.
Priest asks Jackie to hand Gunther her mic so he can see if Gunther has the balls to say what he has to say to his face. Gunther stares Priest up and down. Priest notes that Gunther wants everyone to believe he has his aura back, but that is not true. Maybe the pressure of being a champ is getting to Gunther. The reason Gunther is struggling is because Gunther’s never had to deal with a problem like Priest. Priest wonders aloud about what will happen to Gunther after he loses to a guy from the street. Gunther bows up.

Priest apologizes for taking up Gunther’s time and gives the floor back to him. Gunther starts to speak but stops. Gunther turns to leave, but as soon as Priest lets his guard down, Gunther bops him on the head with the microphone. Pries goes down. Gunther beats down Priest and clears the commentary desk. Gunther turns around, and Priest launches him into the ring post. Referees and officials pour out of the locker room. Priest lays in a few punches and sends Gunther through the commentary desk with a Razor’s Edge.
Grade: B
Priest looks like a legitimate challenger for Gunther. Who had that on their 2024 bingo card? It’s funny, the last time these two met, it was Priest who was dwarfed by the aura of the then-challenger Gunther. Priest has completely broken down the formerly unflappable World Heavyweight Champion, which makes this feel like more than a throwaway PLE title match. Gunther will most likely retain it, but his character will be forced to evolve further because of it. Gunter will need to show fighting spirit and the will to win as an underdog, which will add a fascinating new dimension to our Ring General.
Tornado Tag Match: Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. Creed Brothers
The Creeds dump Mysterio out of the ring and work over Dragon Lee. Lee surprises Julius with a rana. Lee tosses Mysterio into a seated senton on Julius. Springboard moonsault by Mysterio. Julius kicks out. Brutus tosses Mysterio out of the ring and works over Lee. Brutus and Lee fight up top. Lee knocks Brutus into a tree of woe. Before Lee can land his double stomp, Julius leaps to the top rope in one step and blasts Lee with a superplex.
Lee dives and sends Brutus flying off the apron with a rana. Mysterio sends Julius into the ropes for a 619. Julius counters with a nasty lariat. After the break, Juius lands a 450 splash. The Creeds set up a double superplex on Lee. Mysterio breaks it up with a 619 to Julius and Brutus’ legs, dropping them both into the tree of woe. Lee lands a double stomp off the top. Gable hops on the apron after the referee gets trapped in the corner and twists Mysterio’s mask around. Brutus rolls up Mysterio for the win.
Winners- Creed Brothers
Grade: C+
Fun TV match. The Creeds looked better than they had in months, and they actually got a win. This team has been floundering since they were brought to the main roster. Julius’ 450 splash was a thing of beauty. No clue where this leads for either team, but this match was worth watching.
Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker vs. Ludwig Kaiser
Breakker tosses Kaiser all over the ring. Kaiser takes control after going after Breakker’s eyes. Breakker surprises Kaiser with a gutbuster. Kaiser rolls out of the ring. Breakker lines up the super Spear. Kaiser moves out of the way, and Breakker crashes into the table. After the break, Kaiser continues his assault. Sheamus runs down to ringside and attacks both men. The referee throws the match out. Referees and officials break up the brawl.
No contest
Grade: C+
Kaiser has looked great the past few weeks. Kaiser is slowly becoming a legitimate contender for the IC title, as he has hung with Sheamus and Breakker. We need more of these three guys beating the crap out of each other.
After the break, Adam Pearce yells that if they want to fight, they can do it at Survivor Series in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship.
World Tag Team Championship Match: The Judgement Day (JD McDonagh and Finn Bálor) (c) vs. The War Raiders
Erik and Ivar clear the ring immediately. Ivar flattens Bálor and McDonagh with a senton off the apron. After the break, McDonaugh and Bálor are working over Erik. Erik manages to tag in Ivar. The Vikings hit their finish on McDonagh. Dominik Mysterio puts McDonagh’s foot on the rope. While the referee is distracted, Bálor stuns Erik on the top rope. McDonagh rolls up Erik for the win.
Winners- The Judgement Day
Grade: C-
Everything about this was predictable. The Vikings are about to win, and then the rest of Judgement Day costs them the match. This is standard wrestling stuff, but at least try to make it creative. The finish threw cold water on what was a pretty fun match.
Woods & Kofi Kingston vs. Otis & Akira Tozawa
Woods and Kingston argue about who will start the match. Otis runs over Woods. Otis lands the caterpillar. Tozawa tags in and crushes Woods with a senton off the top for the win… wait… what?
Winners- Otis and Akira Tozawa
After the match, Woods and Kingston argue about whose fault. The camera follows Kingston and Woods to the back. Woods blames Kingston. Kingston blames Woods. Woods says Kingston thinks he’s too big to listen to anyone else. As both men bicker, Woods says the only reason Kingston ever won the World Championship was because of him. Kingston says Woods can’t talk about championships since he’s never won a single one.
Kingston tells Woods all he’s ever tried to do is help him. When Kingston gifted Woods his IC title match, Woods fumbled the bag. That’s what Woods always does. Kingston gets in Woods’ face and says the reason Woods has never been a champion is because he just isn’t good enough. That’s not Kingston or Big E’s fault. That’s On Woods.
Woods says he was good enough to take Kingston’s beatings for him. They created Kofi Mania. What did Kingston do? He pissed it away in six seconds to Brock Lesnar. Kingston bows up and asks if Woods is anyone else. Woods interrupts and says he would what? Finally get mad? Kingston tells Woods he’ll see him at the anniversary next week.
Grade: A
The match here means nothing. This was all about the angle after. Woods and Kingston have been slow-burning this split for months, with things almost coming to a head here tonight. If words are like bullets, those two were shooting rocket launchers at each other together. *In Stone Cold’s Voice* Jeez, kid, that was a bit stiff. What if this ends with the entire New Day turning heel again? What do you think happens next? Let us know in the comments below.
Women’s War Games Advantage Match: Bianca Belair vs. Nia Jax
Belair manages to send Jax out to the floor with a dropkick. Belair dives off the apron. Jax catches Belair and drives her into the ring post repeatedly. After the break, Jax works over Belair. Belair fires up and lands a flurry of offense. Jax avoids the superstar press and lands an elbow drop. Jax crushes Belair with a leg drop off the second rope.
Belair kicks out. Jax goes up top for her finish. Belair suplexes Jax off the top. Jax kicks out. Jax runs over Belair. Belair ends up outside the ring. Jax Samoan drops Belair on the commentary desk. Jax sets up the Annihilator. While the ref is distracted, Bayley appears and trips Jax, causing her to fall to the mat. Belair lands a 450 splash for the win.
Winner- Bianca Belair
After the match, Belair and Bayley share a nod of solidarity.
Grade: B
Great match. There were tons of believable nearfalls and big moves during this contest. Jax destroyed Belair with that nasty Samoan drop on the commentary desk and a surprising leg drop off the second rope. It’s quite surprising that Belair won here. The heel almost always wins the WarGames advantage match, so that probably means Team Ripley will face another sort of numbers disadvantage at the PLE.
WWE Raw Review:
The final Raw before Survivor Series: WarGames did a good job of building toward the PLE, but didn’t crush it when it came to an overall Monday Night Raw viewing experience. All of the backstage and promo work stood out tonight, with the argument between Woods and Kingston taking top marks. We have so much history with Woods and Kingston; seeing them tear down each other using so many truth bombs left this writer’s jaw on the floor.

Priest continued to shine in his feud against Gunther, adding further doubt to the title match that seemed to have its winner set in stone. At this point, the World Heavyweight Championship is in danger. Ni Jax and Belair take match of the night honors, as their contest was one of the few interesting things to happen in the ring tonight. How will the Ring General respond? Will Belair finally accept Bayley? Will the New Day finally explode? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
