Daniel Garcia Says He’s Still Hungry After TNT Title Win, Enters AEW Continental Classic

Daniel Garcia says he’s still hungry after winning the TNT Championship, and he has declared for the AEW Continental Classic.

At AEW Full Gear, Garcia defeated Jack Perry to win the TNT Championship. This marked Garcia’s first title win in AEW, not including run as the ROH Pure Champion.

Speaking at the AEW Full Gear post-show media show, Daniel Garcia commented on his title win.

“This is something that you kind of work a lot of years for,” Garcia said. “I came into AEW, and I challenged for the TNT Title one of my first months, so I feel like this has always been a bucket list thing for me at AEW, it’s something that I’ve wanted to accomplish. I felt like it was a ghost that I was trying to chase for a very long time, and I feel like tonight I finally captured that ghost.”

Daniel Garcia Wants More

Garcia was then asked to comment on what was next for him. He stated that he was still hungry, and there was more that he wanted to accomplish. Garcia proceeded to declare himself for the AEW Continental Classic.

“I feel like you want to accomplish something so bad, and then you get it, and you think it’s gonna fulfill something inside you, but it never really does,” Daniel Garcia said. “I feel like there’s still a lot more that I want to do here. And I feel like I’m still hungry, I feel like I want to accomplish more.

“I will say right now, I’m gonna be the first person to announce myself for the Continental Classic. I’ll be returning this year. I’m really excited, hopefully I do a little bit better than last year, we’ll see. I’m walking in with a lot more confidence this time, so we’ll see what happens.”

The AEW Continental Classic will begin on the November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
