Trick Williams teases being a surprise entrant in the 2025 Royal Rumble match,
The NXT Champion has quickly become one of the most popular stars in WWE and is the top star in NXT. The Royal Rumble has a long history of NXT Champions appearing in the match, going all the way back to Bo Dallas in 2013.
Trick Williams spoke with Ten Count Media and was asked about potentially appearing in the Royal Rumble match next year. This was asked due to his jacket, which was emblazoned by Royal Rumble logos of the past.
The NXT Champion was coy on his potential appearance. He noted that he does not make the decision if he appears or not. However, he said there’s always a chance he could appear. Trick Williams teased that the Royal Rumble “will be great” with a grin.
“I wish I had some control over that, but either way it goes, man, I’m sure the Rumble will be great. There’s always a chance. There’s always a chance. The Royal Rumble needs Batman, you know!”
The 2025 Royal Rumble takes place on Saturday, 1 February 2025 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Trick Williams On Reuniting With Carmelo Hayes
Trick Williams is open to reuniting with Carmelo Hayes but under one specific condition.
WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams recently spoke to Armon Sadler of Stay Busy. When asked if he would be open to reuniting with Carmelo Hayes in the future, Williams compared it to the recent reunion of Jimmy and Jey Uso.
“You know, I kinda feel like Jey [Uso] in this situation,” Trick Williams said. “What Jey told him, he said, ‘Yeah, we can work together, but this dynamic is different now.’ You know what I mean? You heard the people. You heard the people. Jey strutting and he doing his thing and he said I can’t go back to being a yes man.
“I feel that wholeheartedly man, those yes man days are done. Will it be Trick and Melo gang, for sure, if it does happen. Will it be like it was before? I can’t, I’ve outgrown that box. I can’t go back even if I wanted to. It don’t fit.” [H/T: Fightful]
