Trick Williams would be honored to wrestle Booker T in the WWE Hall of Famer’s last match.
The NXT Champion has previously laid down the challenge to Booker T and has always spoken highly of the former World Heavyweight Champion. Booker T has been a huge supporter of Trick Williams, with his yelling becoming a huge part of his entrance music in NXT.
Trick Williams spoke about a potential match with Booker T in an interview with Ten Count Media. He revealed that he would be “honored” to face the WWE and WCW legend in the ring for his final outing.
He explained how Booker T is in his top five (or “fave five”) of all time, but rejected the idea that he would “school” Trick Williams in the ring. Trick Williams likened the match to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson, implying he would defeat the NXT commentator handily.
“I would be honored. As everybody knows, the respect and reverence I have for Bate — the influence on even some of my moveset — Booker T is definitely one of the greatest to ever do it. He’s definitely in my top three to top five.”
“Being able to share his last match would be amazing. Wow. You know, I’m hoping — let’s go ahead and speak it into existence. We need that to happen.”
“But Booker T schooling me… I’m gonna say, last weekend we saw Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, and I’mma leave it alone right there. I’mma leave it alone. Tell him, if he wants to show me otherwise, let’s run it. Let’s make it happen.”
“I think the world wants to see Trick Williams versus Booker T. I mean, I think the world wants to see that. So hey, man — let’s run it. Let’s run it. Let’s run it!”
