Tony Khan believes AEW has most of the top Black wrestlers in professional wrestling at the moment.
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was a recent guest on CHGO Sports. When asked about the number of Black wrestlers currently being featured in the company and if that’s a conscious effort, Khan said he’s conscious of it but also believes they are some of the best wrestlers in the company right now.
“I’m conscious of it,” Tony Khan said. “But I also think that these are all some of the best wrestlers in AEW you just named. So we’re really lucky to have those great stars, and we’ve been fortunate to be able to build up some stars, and also have a lot of great free agents come in too where I think so many of the top wrestlers, some of the top Black wrestlers in the world, are in AEW.
“And I really think most of the top Black wrestlers in the world are now in AEW. But I think that is a conscious thing, but I also think it’s great, and it’s awesome to hear that. I’m glad that’s something that’s connected with you, and it means a lot. Thank you for saying that.”
