MVP: Vince McMahon Wanted To Turn The Hurt Business Into The Nation Of Domination 2.0

MVP has revealed Vince McMahon‘s original plans to transform the Hurt Business.

The group formed during the pandemic era. MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander came together to create the Hurt Business. They became incredibly successful and won countless championship titles, but were broken up before fans were even allowed back in the arena.

Subsequent calls to reform were ignored, although the group has mostly reunited in AEW as The Hurt Syndicate. However, Vince McMahon did have some plans for the group before they split.

MVP wrote in a now-deleted Tweet that Vince McMahon wanted the group to become the “Nation of Domination 2.0”. He revealed that the group fought him on the idea, as their being black had nothing to do with the point of the group.

McMahon even had Ron Simmons and Mark Henry ready to recreate the group that was inspired by the Black Panthers and Nation of Islam groups.

“There was a moment during the “PC Era” when the old man wanted to turn “The Hurt Business” into NOD 2.0. He even brought in Mark & Ron. We fought him on it. Our group was NEVER about RACE. It’s always been about our organic friendship and desire to make money doing what we love!”

MVP was also asked why Triple H didn’t want to bring the Hurt Business back as a group when he was in charge of WWE. He replied that the conversation was also avoided so MVP never got an answer to the question.

“Always avoided the conversation. ?

MVP On Hurt Syndicate In AEW: We Wanted To Give Our Story The Ending It Deserved

MVP says The Hurt Syndicate‘s reunion is meant to give the group the ending that it deserves.

“Why now? Quite frankly because we had an idea that was initially conceived by Bobby. We were able to put it together, and we executed it flawlessly,” MVP said. “It was very organically popular, and unfortunately, it was ended long before anybody was ready for it to end.

“We felt that we wanted to give our story the proper ending that it deserved, and Tony Khan was kind enough to allow us to bring our conglomerate here and continue doing what we do better than virtually anybody else.”
