El Hijo Del Vikingo Pulled From PROGRESS Wrestling Event Due To Injury

PROGRESS Wrestling has shared a brief update on El Hijo del Vikingo.

In a post on social media, PROGRESS Wrestling announced that El Hijo del Vikingo was still recovering. However, they said that he “will not be ready to compete to the high level he would want to” for any matches in Europe. The post mentioned that a new date for Vikingo was being worked on. PROGRESS wrote that they hoped to see him in a PROGRESS ring sometime soon.

Vikingo competed at the TNA tapings on October 27, the day after he faced Mike Bailey at TNA Bound For Glory. He suffered an apparent leg injury during his match against Trent Seven and the match was immediately stopped. TNA later announced that Vikingo had suffered a knee injury. He flew home to Mexico to be examined and treated by his specialist.

Vikingo had recently returned to in-ring competition after he suffered a torn meniscus and ruptured ligament in February.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
