Cathy Kelley credits Kevin Owens with saving her life when they got in a dune buggy accident.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Kevin Owens noted that he and interviewer Cathy Kelley got in a dune buggy accident. He played it off and joked that someone was trying to get to him. However, the incident was more serious than it seemed.
Speaking on B4theBell, Cathy Kelley highlighted her friendship with Kevin Owens. She then brought up the dune buggy accident. Kelley stated that she credited Owens with saving her life.
“He’s been one of my friends for years. I’ve had many conversations with him off-camera,” Cathy Kelley said. “We just got into a kind of traumatizing accident when we were in Saudi Arabia, we were in that dune buggy [accident], and I kind of credit him for saving my life in that moment. We rolled three and a half times in a dune buggy.
“He said his initial instinct was to protect me. I was holding onto the safety rail, he was right behind me. We could have gotten much more banged up than we did. We were really lucky that we walked out of it relatively unscathed. I have a little scratch on my hand, it’s healing. But yeah, he and I are very close.”
