A new report provides an update on the Street Profits‘ status with WWE.
Montez Ford has been vocal about his frustration in recent interviews. Angelo Dawkins has also hinted at some frustration of his own on social media. This led some fans to question the duo’s status with WWE,
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the Street Profits are “locked into deals” with WWE. Johnson writes that it’s likely that their comments were made to garner attention. Per Johnson, Montez Ford has been working on some outside projects, as he is signed to Paradigm. The report notes that there is no belief internally that either of them are leaving the company.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) previously reported that he did not get a concrete answer about the Street Profits’ future amid their public comments. The duo previously signed multi-year deals in 2019, but the length was unclear.
The Street Profits challenged the Motor City Machine Guns for the WWE Tag Team Championship on the November 15 episode of WWE SmackDown. Tommaso Ciampa interfered, so the match ended without a winner. Dawkins then hit Alex Shelley with a cheap shot, and the Street Profits walked away.
