NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over II fallout

In the semi-main event, IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani garnered her eight successful defense of the belt.

She congratulated her challenger, Momo Watanabe, who was celebrating her 10th year wrestling anniversary the day prior. Mayu then wished to remain rivals with Momo following their highly competitive battle. Before wrapping up her speech, she mentioned wanting to defend the IWGP Women’s Title on NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 19 show on January 4, 2025. AZM, who has long been waiting for her opportunity, emerged from ringside to make the challenge official.

In the main event of the show, NJPW G1 Climax winner Zack Sabre Jr. teamed up with STARDOM 5 Star Grand Prix winner Maika. The duo went up against Starlight Kid and a returning El Desperado. Starlight Kid showed no fear in competing against her male counterparts as she threw several forearms to the reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Zack Sabre Jr.

Towards the end of the bout, Maika and Zack Sabre Jr. delivered a double Michinoku Driver on their respective opponents. Maika executed a second Michinoku Driver on Starlight Kid to pick up the win for her team.

After the match, all four competitors showed a sign of respect to one another for putting on a competitive match. They then closed the show by celebrating the success of NJPW and STARDOM’s second joint wrestling event.

Moving forward, NJPW builds up to their upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 19 and Wrestle Dynasty shows in the Tokyo Dome in January 2025. STARDOM, on the other hand, shall wrap up their ongoing Goddess of Stardom Tag League and prepare for their biggest show of the year in Dream Queendom 2024 this December 29.
