Next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite just got even bigger, with Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida set to go at it.
The match was confirmed tonight during AEW Collision, when Statlander was interrupted by Shida while discussing her upcoming TBS Championship Match against Mercedes Moné at AEW Full Gear. Shida first said that she hoped Statlander won and it was about time someone beat Moné’s “bony ass.”
Shida then said that when Statlander wins, she wants to be the first challenger for the belt. Statlander was fine with the idea, but instead offered up a match challenge to Shida for Wednesday, to which the superstar accepted.

- Orange Cassidy vs. Wheeler Yuta
- Darby Allin vs. Claudio Castagnoli
- Will Ospreay, Ricochet, Powerhouse Hobbs & Mark Davis vs. Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Lance Archer & Brian Cage
