Rob Van Dam: Some Plans Might Have Changed For My NXT Appearance, I’ll Be Back

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam appeared at NXT‘s 2300 Arena event. His involvement at the event was brief, as he had a backstage segment and he came out during Wes Lee’s match against Je’Von Evans. In an update, Van Dam has implied that the plans changed.

Speaking on the latest episode of 1 Of A Kind With RVD, Van Dam said he had a fun time at the show. He emphasized that he felt “really welcome” by everyone there. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)

“It felt really welcome, and everybody from top to bottom was super cool,” Van Dam said. “Everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome if and when I want to come back. I got some unsettled business now with Wes [Lee]. They all seem really legit. It’s really cool. Everybody’s happy. They all grew up watching my generation of wrestlers, so they’re really stoked to have us there, working with them. They value our perspective. It’s really cool.”

Rob Van Dam On Plans Changing

Van Dam was also asked about his appearance, as one listener said they wanted to see him get more involved. RVD said that fans wouldn’t be wrong to think that “maybe there was some plans that got changed.” However, the veteran stated that he would be back at some point.

“More time is needed to get more information,” said Van Dam. “But basically, I think that you would not be wrong if you thought that maybe there was some plans that got changed, and if so, that it was done for the betterment of me and for my well-being.

“Let me just leave it there for now. I will definitely talk more about this when I have more to talk about. Little early right now though. I wanted to wrestle too, I was really bummed. [But] I will be back, too. I will be back, so there’s that.”
