Dave Bautista and Pamela Anderson are set to star in The Last Showgirl, with the trailer recently being released.
The movie sees Anderson playing Shelley, a veteran Las Vegan showgirl in the twilight of her career. After her show closes abruptly after a 30-year run on the strip, she faces a crossroads in her life as she deals with what the future may hold. The film is directed by Gia Coppola.
The Last Showgirl features an all-star cast which includes wrestling legend Dave Bautista. He and Anderson are joined by Hollywood veterans like Brenda Song, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jason Schwartzman in the Newport Beach Film Festival award winner.
The trailer for The Last Showgirl was released on Twitter, mainly featuring Pamela Anderson’s performance as Shelley. Dave Bautista is shown briefly at the beginning as the director of the “Razzle Dazzle” show that Shelley is a part of.
He directs Anderson and the other showgirls into position on stage for their final performance. The WWE legend is seen sporting an unfamiliar, longer-haired look.
Roadisde Attractions, who distribute the film, posted the trailer and announced the release date. The movie releases for one week only in December before a full release in January. This is likely so the film is eligible for awards season in 2025.
“Places, please. #TheLastShowgirl starring @pamelaanderson and directed by GiaCoppola is at @AMCTheatres Century City on December 13th for one week only and in theaters nationwide on January 10th.”
