Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has an unexpected booking this weekend that doesn’t involve professional wrestling.
ESPN College GameDay took to social media this afternoon to announce that WWE’s Cody Rhodes will be a guest picker this weekend for Saturday’s slate of games, tweeting out:
“The American Nightmare *handshake emoji* College GameDay Guest Picker *two exclamation point emoji*
@WWE Superstar and Georgia fan @CodyRhodes is our guest picker in Athens this weekend,” ESPN College GameDay said in a post.
A few hours later, Rhodes would respond to the tweet with a few emojis of his own. You can check that post out in the embedded tweet below.
The American Nightmare is a known fan of the 12th ranked Georgia Bulldogs. They are scheduled to play against the 7th ranked Tennessee Volunteers later that evening in primetime.
Rhodes will likely spend a lot of time interacting with former WWE commentator Pat McAfee who is scheduled to return to the company at some point in 2025.
