GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale jokingly referred to WWE President Nick Khan as his good friend while discussing his attendance at Bloodsport X.
Khan was in attendance at the WrestleMania week event, which featured multiple WWE talent. Shayna Baszler and Charlie Dempsey wrestled at the show. Pictures of Khan and Lauderdale made the rounds on social media, leading to some buzz about WWE potentially working with GCW.

“That’s my good friend. My good friend Nick,” Brett Lauderdale said. “Nick Khan is cool. He was a guest of Josh Barnett’s and he came to check out Bloodsport and so many others did. He wasn’t the only high-profile individual in attendance at that event. I got to talk to him for a couple minutes and he was very complimentary and very gracious and he brought his son with him.
“They stayed and they watched the event and they seemed to be into it, which given the weekend, it was WrestleMania weekend, it was impressive that he was able to cut a couple of hours out to come to our event. I’m not a corporate guy. I don’t have any business with Nick Khan but, my experience was positive and yeah, of course it was cool to have him there and yeah, of course there’s a lot of people turning their heads looking to see what the hell was going on. But, he just came to check out the show.”
