A new report provides more information about the WWE Women’s United States Championship.
As seen on the November 8 episode of WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis announced the creation of the Women’s United States Championship and unveiled the title. However, details about how the inaugural champion would be crowned were not provided. Aldis only said that the title would be earned, not given.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that women’s talent he spoke to did not know about the announcement until the day of. Sapp writes that talent does not know whether a matching title will be announced for RAW. Likewise, they do not know if a tournament will crown the first champion. The report notes that details were kept quiet. Talent had previously thought that the title might be introduced in December or January.
