Tony Khan is the boss behind the scenes at AEW, but he doesn’t want to be an in-ring competitor.
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was a recent guest on Levack and Goz. When asked if there is a possibility of him stepping inside the squared circle to compete in a match for the company he owns, Khan explained why he doesn’t think that’s in the cards.
“I still don’t think that is in the cards, but a lot of the best wrestlers in the world are in AEW,” Tony Khan said. ‘Where the best wrestle’ is our tagline, and I want to keep it that way and keep myself out of the ring.” [H/T: Fightful]
So if you enjoyed watching Khan get attacked by The Elite earlier this year on Dynamite, that seems to be the extent of what you’ll see from him when it comes to taking physicality on AEW programming.
