WWE SmackDown Viewership Increases On 11/8, Demo Also Rises

WWE SmackDown saw an increase in viewership on November 8.

According to Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider), SmackDown averaged 1.536 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.47 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership number is up from last week’s episode when an average of 1.428 million viewers tuned in. The demo is also up from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.42 rating in the same demographic. 

Per Programming Insider, SmackDown ranked #1 overall in primetime on Friday. The show was up against NBA and NCAA games.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn, but it didn’t go well.

In tag team action, Motor City Machine Guns picked up a victory over Pretty Deadly.

Elsewhere on the show, Nick Aldis announced a Women’s United States Championship.

In the closing segment of the evening, Solo Sikoa was supposed to be named the Undisputed Tribal Chief. He’s interrupted by Roman Reigns and Sikoa challenges him to War Games. The OG Bloodline reunites to end the show.
