Matt Hardy Thinks Ethan Page Can Be A ‘High-Level Guy’ On WWE Main Roster

Matt Hardy believes that Ethan Page can move the ranks and be a high-level star on the WWE main roster.

Ethan Page won the NXT Championship just weeks after he made his NXT debut. Trick Williams dethroned him in October, but Page remains featured on NXT programming.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the TNA star commented on Ethan Page’s current run on NXT.

“A big shoutout to Ethan Page,” Hardy said. “So proud of him for betting on himself and taking the opportunity to leave where he was and just put himself out there. He ended up landing in NXT and WWE, and he’s doing great for himself. He’s killing it and doing very, very well. I think he has a long way to go. I see a very high ceiling for him in WWE.”

Matt Hardy On Ethan Page’s Ceiling In WWE

Hardy was then asked to comment on what he thought Ethan Page’s ceiling in WWE was. He noted that he thought that Page could be a “high-level guy” on RAW or SmackDown. Hardy also praised Page.

“I think his ceiling is on RAW or SmackDown as a high-level guy, I think he can move up the ranks,” he said. “I don’t know if he’s gonna be a guy that is gonna be a consistent main-eventer, but he is such an entertaining guy. He gets it, he gets the WWE style.

“He gets what pro wrestling is in general because WWE is what pro wrestling is in the biggest broadcast effect, entertainment, and then you have these guys having these amazing matches, and you’re telling stories and you have a character arc, and you’re following someone. [Page] gets all that very well. I think he is talented enough, I think he is athletic enough, and I think I he is motivated and driven enough to go to a very high place on a main roster brand.”
