Shingo Takagi has challenged AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita to face him at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19.
At NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed, Takeshita defeated TJP to retain his title. After the bell, he said that he would defend the gold at the Tokyo Dome, and he asked who was next. NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi came out and accepted the challenge for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. He hinted that both of their titles would be on the line.
As of this writing, NJPW has not confirmed the match between Takagi and Takeshita.
Takeshita previously competed in the NJPW G1 Climax 34 earlier in 2024.
