WWE officially introduced a midcard title for the women’s division on the November 8 episode of WWE SmackDown.
In a taped message on Friday’s show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis highlighted the accomplishments of the women’s division and said that SmackDown had a roster full of world-class athletes. Aldis then unveiled the WWE Women’s United States Championship and called it a symbol of excellence. He said that the title would be earned, not awarded, by whoever was willing to go above and beyond to seize the moment.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
