Sami Zayn wanted Roman Reigns to apologize to Jey Uso on WWE SmackDown, but Reigns refused.
Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso came to the ring to kick off the November 8 episode of WWE SmackDown, just days after the duo and Jey Uso lost to Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu at WWE Crown Jewel. Jey Uso then came out to join them in the ring. He said there was a lot of misunderstanding, and he asked them to hear what Sami Zayn had to say. Zayn then came to the ring.
Zayn began by addressing what happened at WWE Crown Jewel and said when he kicked Reigns, it was not on purpose. He said that he only showed up because of Jey. Zayn said that when the four of them were briefly together at WWE Crown Jewel, it took him back to a special time. He said that part of him still had a soft spot for that time, and he knew they all felt it too. Zayn said that Reigns wanted them to get back together.
Zayn then said that Reigns loved him, and it could be like the old days again. He told Reigns he would put the ball in his court, and if Reigns wanted, he would walk away from the group. But he said that he thought that Reigns wanted the four of them to fight together, and if that was the case, he would do it. Zayn said that he would do that if Reigns apologized.
Roman Reigns Responds
Reigns questioned whether Zayn meant that he wanted him to apologize to him. Reigns looked at Jey and apologized, saying that he was sorry that he let Jey waste his time. He said that Zayn was not family, he was not honorary, and this was not about him. Reigns then called out Solo Sikoa, but Jacob Fatu appeared on the screen and said that Sikoa would answer when he pleased.
Backstage, Jey Uso confronted Reigns, who angrily questioned why he cared about Zayn. Uso fired back by saying that he told Reigns not to talk like that, and that was Reigns’ one pass. Jey then walked away.
