Goldberg might be stepping back in the squared circle for his retirement match in 2025, but he’s well aware of the wear and tear being a professional wrestler took on his body.
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg recently spoke with Scott Johnson of Going Ringside. When asked if football of pro wrestling was more grueling on his body, Goldberg confirmed it was 100% professional wrestling due to the schedule you had to endure each year.
“Oh, wrestling, 100%. Yeah, because you’re a professional athlete mixed with a rock star,” he said. “Because you’re on the road every two days. I was on the road 210 days my first year. So it’s as opposed to playing 17 games in the NFL or however many you play in college now. I mean, it’s no comparison.”
It’s unknown at this time who Goldberg will face in his retirement match in 2025 but many fans believe that it will be Gunther.
