The Dudley Boyz gave a quick pep talk to Trick Williams after their big loss on NXT.
Bully Ray teamed with Trick Williams in a special edition of NXT that took place in the old ECW arena. ECW legends like Rob Van Dam and Rhino made appearances, with D-Von Dudley helping out Bully Ray and Trick Williams in the main event.
However, the duo lost to Ethan Page and Ridge Holland, when Holland pinned the NXT Champion. Trick Williams was beside himself backstage but was talked down by the Dudley Boyz in a segment posted to Twitter.
The Dudley Boyz admitted that Trick Williams was better than the loss, but warned him not to drop his head. They called him a “hell of a talent” and “young and hungry”.
“I agree. You are better than that.” Bully Ray said to the NXT Champion before D-Von stepped in.
“Listen. We all lose. We’ve lost many a time. But we’ve been successful at it. When I say successful, even though we lost we’ve had a lot of successful matches after that followed. You will do the same. You’re young, you’re hungry and you’re a hell of a talent. So keep your head up and don’t you dare look down.” Bully Ray added a “testify”, before the Dudley Boyz gave Trick Williams a pair of Dudley glasses, christening him Trick Dudley.
