Mercedes Moné will defend the gold at AEW Full Gear.
In a tweet, Tony Khan confirmed that Kris Statlander will challenge Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship at AEW Full Gear. This comes after Statlander challenged Moné to face her on the November 2 episode of AEW Collision.
Statlander, a former TBS Champion, has been feuding with Moné in recent weeks. She beat Kamille on the October 30 episode of AEW Dynamite, and Moné attacked her after the match.
Statlander lost the TBS Championship at AEW Full Gear 2023, and she will aim to win the title back a year later.
Moné recently defended the title against Queen Aminata on the October 16 episode of AEW Dynamite. She also beat Emi Sakura to retain the gold at AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday. She won the championship by defeating Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing. Moné is undefeated in AEW; she made her in-ring debut in her match against Nightingale.
As previously announced, Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy at Full Gear. Plus, “Hangman” Adam Page will face Jay White.
