Seth Rollins: WWE Doesn’t Need Me To Wrestle Every Week, They Save Me For Big Matches

Seth Rollins says WWE doesn’t need him to wrestle every week because he can get the same thing done in other ways.

Rollins, 38, has dealt with injuries throughout 2024. As a result, he has only wrestled a few times since April.

Speaking on The Pivot Podcast, Seth Rollins commented on his promo skills, and he noted that the company did not need him to wrestle every week.

“The equity, there’s equity in sports, [but] it isn’t the same,” Seth Rollins said. “In entertainment, that equity, they don’t even need me to wrestle on Mondays anymore. They save me for big matches because I can talk, and you get the same thing, whereas when I was coming up, they had to put me in there every week.

“They had to give me 400 carries, whatever. ‘You gotta go, you gotta go.’ Now I don’t need to do that, so I can get the same output with different effort, and that’s what I’m talking about, smarter not harder. How can I be of use without killing my body? Because it just can’t do what it did at 22. So yeah, that microphone, that’ll take you to the next level.”
