Ricochet sends a stern message to his upcoming opponents.
On tomorrow’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Kyle Fletcher and International Champion Konosuke Takeshita will battle Ricochet and a partner of his choosing in a tag match. According to Fletcher, Ricochet could bring “literally whoever [he] wants” to Dynamite, because he doesn’t care. Ricochet, however, says that is where Fletcher and Takeshita, both members of The Don Callis Family, messed up.
“Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher, I saw your little video. I saw your little promo calling me out to a tag team match, saying that I can pick any body of my choosing. Okay, see that’s where you messed up,” Ricochet said in a video posted to X. “Because I already have somebody in mind, and I don’t think you’re gonna like it that much.
“You’re honestly lucky that I’m here in beautiful Japan, because that bought you a couple of days for this ass whipping you’re about to receive. So, yes, I will be there on Wednesday with my tag team partner, ready to beat your ass. And remember, just like Don Callis, payback is a b*tch.”
As Ricochet alluded to, he is coming off a surprise return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, specifically at its Power Struggle event. There, Ricochet blindsided IWGP World Heavyweight Champion with a springboard clothesline, before challenging him to a title match at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.
In the meantime, Ricochet also appears to eyeing another shot at the AEW International Championship, which is now held by Takeshita.
Who will Ricochet pick as his partner? We’ll find out on Wednesday.
