Trick Williams: Teaming With Bully Ray Is A Great Opportunity To Learn From Him

Trick Williams is excited to be able to team with Bully Ray at NXT this week.

NXT will bring their weekly show to the 2300 Arena. The venue is also known as the ECW Arena, where it was the home venue of the Philadelphia-based promotion for the bulk of its existence.

Shawn Michaels is bringing NXT to the ECW Arena, with numerous legends from the past making appearances. Dawn Marie and Rob Van Dam are pegged for appearances, while Bully Ray will be wrestling in WWE for the first time since 2016, teaming with Trick Williams to take on Ethan Page and Ridge Holland.

Trick Williams spoke with In The Kliq, where he was asked about teaming with Bully Ray on NXT. The NXT Champion called it a “great opportunity” and revealed he is excited about the match.

“Honestly, it’s a great opportunity, man. It’s an incredible experience to learn from a legend like Bubba Ray, especially in Philadelphia, my second home. These are the moments I’ve always dreamed of when I wanted to wrestle—watching him and D-Von get the tables all those years ago.”

“Being able to share the ring with him now is amazing. I’m excited to learn from him, and I’m also fired up to get my revenge on Ridge Holland and E. They’re just some hating busters—I don’t know what’s up with them!”

Trick Willaims was also asked about his view on NXT’s partnership with TNA.

The NXT Champion welcomes the TNA wrestlers in, noting that he isn’t threatened by them. He added that if it makes the show better then he is happy with the partnership.

“It’s cool—any opponent is welcome. I’m not threatened by anyone who wants a shot at this title. If it makes for a better show and it’s what the people want to see, then let’s make it happen.”
