Morgan asks Rodriguez what she thinks. Adam Pearce interrupts. Pearce tells everyone to back away. This isn’t how they are going to start this show. Morgan bows up and starts mocking Belair, claiming she’s going to turn on Cargill. Belair decks Morgan. Pearce says what Morgan did to Rhea Ripley was disgusting, and she will have a challenger despite Ripley being hurt. A number one contender’s battle royal will start right now.
Grade: C+
Morgan and Dominik are a solid heel couple, but the inclusion of Rodriguez doesn’t add anything here. Rodriguez is a charisma vacuum. This segment picked up with the inclusion of Belair and Cargill. The highlight was definitely Belair socking Morgan one. She had that coming.
Women’s Battle Royal No. 1 Contender Match for Women’s World Championship

Lyra Valkria has been eliminated
Winner and NEW Number One Contender, IYO SKY!
Grade: B
Battle Royals usually suck. This one actually had a decent amount of action instead of minutes of people punching in the corner. This match probably benefited from not having much time; everyone involved wasted no time getting their stuff in. It was obvious Belair and Cargill would get eliminated, but Sky winning was a welcome surprise. What a finish. We don’t see too many apron German suplexes in WWE these days.
The New Day vs. War Raiders
Erik and Ivar take control early. Woods manages to tag in Kingston. Kingston lands a flurry of offense, capped with a springboard crossbody. Kingston lands the SOS, but Ivar breaks up the pin. Kingston lands a dive. Boom drop by Kingston. Kingston calls for Trouble in Paradise. Woods tags himself in. Woods tells Kingston he’s going to go for the elbow. Ivar blindsides Kingston. Erik and Ivar destroy Woods with War Machine for the win.
Winners- War Raiders
Grade: C
We’ve seen these two teams have better matches. We know the important thing here is the angle between Woods and Kingston, but the match itself lacked any heat. The crowd fired up a bit when Kingston got a lukewarmish tag from Woods, but that was about it. They didn’t even bother to further the issue directly after the match between Woods and Kingston. Odd stuff.
Sami Zayn is here!
Zayn cuts a promo in his native language. Zayn is here to address what happened with him and The Bloodline at Crown Jewel. Before Zayn can finish his thought, Jey Uso‘s music hits. Jey walks to the ring and daps up Zayn. The crowd is going nuts for Jey. Jey thanks Zayn for having his back at Crown Jewel. He watched the footage back, and he needs Zayn to tell him if kicking Roman Reigns was an accident. Before Zayn can answer, Jimmy Uso inturupts. Jimmy says Zayn did it on purpose. Jimmy says he’s pissed, Reigns is pissed, and Jey should be pissed.

Zayn can’t be trusted. Zayn reminds Jimmy that Jimmy has turned on every member of The Bloodline. Jimmy frowns. Zayn says he came to the ring at Crown Jewel for Jey and Jey alone. Zayne admits that fighting alongside the OG Bloodline again felt good. Just for a moment, then it all fell apart again. Zayn says he loves Jey, but he can’t do this again. Zayn leaves the ring. Jey asks Zayn to come to SmackDown so they can all talk this out like family. Jimmy says Zayn isn’t family. Jey says Zayn may not be blood, but he’s family. Jey sees Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Sami Uso.
Grade: B
As the Bloodline Turns is still this writer’s favorite television show. We are what, 27 years in and this stuff still doesn’t get old. Zayn did a great job of reminding everyone why there is so much heat between all three men, and that Jimmy has a bit of a superkicking his so-called family problem. Jimmy should probably not throw stones living in that glass house of his.
Dragon Lee w/Zelina Vega vs. Chad Gable w/Ivy Nile
Gable tosses Lee around the ring. Lee sends Gable flying with a head scissors. Lee grabs Gable’s singlet everytime Gable tries to shoot off. Gable gets frustrated and eats a kick from Lee. The fight spills out of to the apron. Lee boots Gable into the ring post. Lee charges in and gets back body dropped off the apron. After the break, Lee lands a tree of woe double stomp. Lee runs into a nasty belly-to-belly suplex into the corner.
Gable sends Lee flying off the top with an almost botched suplex off the top. Cliffhanger DDT by Gable. Gable tries to put his feet on the ropes during his pin, but Vega pushes Gable’s feet of the ropes. Nile traps Vega in the Dragon Tamer. Rey Mysterio power walks to the ring to check on Vega. Gable grabs Mysterio. Mysterio kicks Gable in the head. Gable stumbles into Lee, who hits the Destino for the win.
Winner- Dragon Lee
Grade: B+
That back body drop spot was insane. Lee is wild for how he took that bump, it looked like he was going to land on his head. Gable and Lee had a pretty fun match, with Lee playing with Gable’s singlet and Gable responding by attempting homicide on live TV with several nasty suplexes. A best of seven between these two wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender Match: Seth “Freakin’” Rollins vs. Damian Priest vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Sheamus
As soon as the bell rings, Priest goes after Dominik. Everyone chases Dominik. Sheamus lands the 10 beats while Priest cheers on. Rollins tries a sneak roll up on Priest while everyone is distracted. Priest kicks out. Rollins clear the ring and lands multiple dives. Sheamus blasts Priest with a pump knee. Rollins breaks up the Brogue Kick with a superkick. Rollins Pedigrees Dominik. Bronson Reed appears and attacks Sheamus and Priest.
Rollins gets run over by Reed. Reed drops Priest and Sheamus with DVDs. Reed Tsunamis Priest, Sheamus, and Rollins, who gets put through the commentary desk. Reed leaves through the crowd. Dominik frog splashes Sheamus. Priest breaks up the pin. Dominik catches Priest with a 619. Dominik dives off the top and gets caught by Priest. Priest hits South of Heaven for the win.
Winner and NEW Number One Contender, Damian Priest!
After the match, Gunther comes to the ring and has a staredown with Priest.
Grade: B-
Bronson Reed somehow managed to get himself over even more during a match he wasn’t even booked to be in. That’s amazing within itself. Dominik seemed to be a real threat to win here, with his near fall after Reed’s attack made the crowd audibly gasp. The right person won here since Priest is due a rematch, and none of the other people in the match make sense as a challenger for Gunther.
WWE Raw Review:
Raw was a mixed bag tonight. The women’s battle royal was surprisingly fun and featured a unexpected winner. We were in danger of getting Lyra Valkyria vs. Morgan, but the Queen IYO SKY saved us from that by sending Valkyria to the shadow realm with an apron German suplex. The match of the night was Chad Gable and Dragon Lee, who tore the house down tonight.

We seem to be marching towards Survivor Series: War Games, as Jey Uso asked Sami Zayn to come to SmackDown so the OG Bloodline can hash some stuff out. We all know this ends with Bloodline vs. Bloodline at WarGames, but the journey to get there has been so much fun so far. What happens next? Tell us what you think in the comments!
