WWE RAW will officially move to Netflix in January, and a new report provides an update.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Netflix had indicated their hopes that CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes would be featured on the show. WWE sources responded to the report by noting that the rosters were not decided yet.
Sapp also cited WWE talent and noted that the ones he spoke with had not been told what brand they would be on yet. Likewise, it was unclear if there would be a way of determining who is put on which brand.
The report also notes that both RAW and SmackDown talent were at a Netflix commercial and video shoot on October 27. IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, the Motor City Machine Guns, and Baron Corbin were among them.
Additionally, Sapp writes that Cody Rhodes and Netflix had discussed a potential movie role. That being said, it didn’t wind up happening.
As previously reported, the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles is expected to be the site of the first WWE RAW on Netflix. Sources at the venue said that the event had been hyped up as a major one to them.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
