Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax to become the first WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, and in an emotional moment after the event, Morgan reflected on the long journey she’s been on.
Speaking to WWE’s Big E and Jackie Redmond, E congratulated Morgan on the victory, and how far she had come along her career. In an emotional moment, Morgan thanked him, and said that wrestling had always been her “biggest love,” and that she’s proud of herself.
“Thank you. Thanks, E. Yeah, it has been a long journey and this has always been my biggest love, and my first love,” said Morgan. “And I’m just really proud, and really honored. I’m happy that I just kept going and didn’t give up. I am at the very top of this women’s division, and I can’t believe it, but I can totally believe it. I’m so happy.”
Later in the interview, Morgan thanked her fans for their constant support, even when, according to Morgan, she “really didn’t give them anything to be proud of.”
“I feel like I owe a lot of my success to my fans They stood by me in moments where I feel like I really didn’t give them anything to be proud of,” Morgan said. “And they still stuck with me, and now here we are at the very top of the women’s division and I just want them to know that I really, really, really couldn’t have done it without you. So thank you.”
