Marko Stunt has retired from wrestling.
On November 1, Marko Stunt took to Twitter and announced his retirement from professional wrestling. He noted that it was not an easy decision, and he reflected on his journey up to this point. Stunt wrote that, after consulting with his doctor, he was advised to prioritize his long-term health and step down from in-ring competition. He stated that it was a tough situation, but he knew it was the right decision.
Stunt expressed his gratitude as he made it clear that he appreciated the opportunities that he received there. He also thanked Brett Lauderdale and GCW for giving him his start and providing him with opportunities that changed his life. Stunt went on to thank the wrestlers he worked with and the fans who supported him. He expressed his hope that he could continue to contribute to wrestling in different ways.
Stunt debuted in 2015 and wrestled on the independent scene before he joined AEW. He made his AEW debut at their inaugural Double or Nothing event in 2019. Stunt later joined forces with Jungle Boy (Jack Perry) and Luchasaurus to form Jurassic Express. AEW released Stunt in June 2022. He wrestled on the independent scene but later took some time away from wrestling.
Stunt returned to the ring, and he made a one-off return to AEW in July 2024; he lost to TNT Champion Jack Perry on the July 6 episode.
Among other accolades, Marko Stunt is a former DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion.
