There has been a change of plans regarding WWE Crown Jewel.
In the weeks leading up to WWE Crown Jewel, WWE promoted the Crown Jewel Championship on RAW and SmackDown. The titles were often shown on WWE programming as the premium live event drew closer. At WWE Crown Jewel, the world champions in the men’s and women’s divisions were set to face each other for the titles.
At WWE Crown Jewel Kickoff, Triple H announced that the champions would receive a “massive” championship ring, like a Super Bowl ring. He stated that the titles would be staying in Saudi Arabia. Triple H said that this would be an annual event, so fans would have to wait and see how many rings WWE stars could collect.
Triple H also noted that the titles would be displayed at WWE Experience in Riyadh.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Cody Rhodes will face Gunther for the men’s title. Meanwhile, Nia Jax will face Liv Morgan for the women’s title.
