The second round of the WWE Speed Number One Contender’s Tournament is set.
Akira Tozawa defeated NXT’s Riley Osborne on the November 1 episode of WWE Speed to punch his ticket to the next round. Now, both quarterfinal matches are set. Tozawa will clash with Dragon Lee, who beat Tavion Heights on the October 30 episode, while Bron Breakker will battle Sheamus.
WWE Speed Champion Andrade awaits the tournament winner, who will challenge him for the title.
Akira Tozawa On Alpha Academy
Tozawa spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard earlier in 2024. In one highlight, he discussed being part of Alpha Academy.
“I think it’s chemistry. Otis is a big guy, a super big guy,” he said. “And then Maxxine Dupri, beautiful. And then there I am dancing. [Laughs] So yeah, I think we’re a good team.”
